This still image from ‘Animal Math’ comes from an ominous book, where our protagonist encounters a trove of mysterious artworks which seem to have a deep connection to her dreams. In the drawing, we see the Artist struck down by a prophetic vision of Death. He drops his brushes and palette to the ground, clutching his stomach as his frail body is enveloped by flame. The winged spectre of the Wolf hovers above him - angelic, but forbidding - brandishing a sword against the threatening clouds and fiery orange sun. The original art was created with colored pencil on watercolor wash.
